OMG ZipZipper is right :O!
Playing this track, starting at different points in different windows is absolutely amazing o.O
That said, the composition is lovely just as it is ;3
Please make more, when you can! :D
K? Thanks ^ ^

I've been missing your music here! I'm glad to hear some more, and some really good stuff too! I don't feel like I have much critique to give, especially after Gragon's well thought out review! I really love the piece though :D
I can tell that you spent a fair deal of time on this indeed, and I'm glad you did!
53th huh. Fair enough xD
The ending is a bit abrupt too, but in a way that took me by surprise, and made me want to listen again :O
I need more!!!
Either way, Merry Xmas, pperhaps a bit early :3
Thanks for sharing ^ ^
Thanks a bunch, bro. It's never too early for Christmas.
Definitely doing another one for this new year!
This is an interesting remix! I'm glad you made it :D
Thanks for sharing ^ ^
thanks!
Hey! It's good to see you back :D
And with a pretty catchy track too :O!!
Great job :3
Thx Lucid :D! Really glad you like it :). Tried to make it catchy and calming at the same time X3.
This is quite impressive for just four hours!
The piece has an interesting structure too, which I appreciate (naturally, along with the pretty melodies). As I already told you, I like the left hand arrangement, along with the variations in it. My favorite part of it is 1:28 - 1:44 :)
Maybe one day, when I decide not to be lazy (no promises), I'll cover one of your piano solo's by actually playing it (and rearranging it) on the piano. We shall see! (Will probably take a while too, since I do so many things on a whim).
Nice job!
Ooh, I love it! Very atmospheric and powerful :O!!!
This goes straight into my favorites :D
I personally, like this version better than the original, though it is awesome too. It's easy to get swept away by this track! Thank you for sharing, and great job ^ ^
Oh wow, this is really neat! The melodies, chords and the progression are all interesting. I love how you put a few grace notes here and there too. The reverb works well with this particular sample and style.
The breakdown at 1:51 is an interesting touch! I like the jazzy style here too. Tempowise, you did a faily good job of humanizing the piece here, and all the way to the end! The ending leaves us with an interesting atmosphere too :O!!
This is a short review, but that means there wasn't much for me to criticise ;)
Ofc, a better piano sample would make this even better, but you have what you have. If you ever feel like you've made a really good piano piece (or just otherwise want a better sound), feel free to send the MIDI my way, and I'll export your song with a better piano VST, no questions asked, and no credits taken!
So here we have the full version! I know I reviewed the VIP of this earlier. I'm glad you made it into a full version!
I still love the melodies, and I like your new additions as well! Even though this could indeed be humanized better (but I know how difficult/time vamping that is without actually playing it), I think it works well as it is too. SoundChris is probably the master of humanizing isntruments. I will note that there is a kind of off sounding velocity drop at approximately 1:20, with kind of a gradual fade, which I felt was perhaps a bit unnecessary. The idea was probably to let it build back into the refrain, but for a solo piano piece, such a feat is difficult to pull of, though not impossible.
I like how you decided to mix two different samples! As you probably know, I've done so in a couple of pieces. That is, In Love with the Wind, and in "A Long Night", in which I actually used soundfonts, since it was for a competition. And I get your struggle! Even if I played it myself on the piano, it sounds like it needs to be humanized, haha. Free piano samples that are good, are not easy to come by :)
Final notes:
I like the new melodies, and the key change at 1:45!
The ending is a bit abrupt, imo, but endings tend to be quite difficult to get right :)
You've still got a really good sense for melodies!
Great job :D
This is actually really cool! First seconds already caught my interest :D
I would love to drink to this, in a pub. That's how you know it's a good piece ;D
No but seriously, this is such an interesting blend of sounds! And pretty catchy melodies too, and most importantly the rhythm! I love all the basslines too, and the way they are occasionally emphasized :O
The guitars (the strummed one, if it is indeed a guitar, and the one that seems electric, or in the very least has some amplifier effect on it; in that case it doesn't even necessarily ahve to be a guitar).
Once again, the arrangement is what catches my interest the most, here. So many cool instruments, like some synths and the organ, all which blend together perfectly, with some atmospheric sounds. I don't even know what genre to call this! I guess that is why it's fusion ;p
This doesn't really sound dissonant either, despite all the intereting harmonies and melodies you concocted.
My one critique is that if you're going to give us such an undefined ending, with some new synth rhythms/melodies jsut popping up, and then just fading out, you might as well have looped this! Since it works perfectly as background music, and it's be difficult to tell where it starts and stops, this could be an absolutely wonderful ost, for a game of the mystery/atmospheric type. Or just, you know, playing in the background while grabbing a few drinks xD
Either way, this is one of my favorites from you! I'm glad I got to hear a new piece from you, this close to the end of 2016. Really nicely done ^ ^
Thanks so much for the kind words, LSD! I was pretty happy with the intro myself, and I'm glad the sounds blend well together. I didn't know what genre to call it either! XD The rhythm may seem so interesting because the entire track is written in 3/4 time, although the pre-chorus melody at :19 is 2 measures of 4/4, so I just added an extra beat after the melody played in order to synchronize them. ^^ That's also probably why the bass sounds so exposed at :24. If you listen for the heavily reverberated, distorted clap during that section, it plays on every 3rd beat. I totally agree about the ending, too. It was entirely lazy of me.
"I would love to drink to this, in a pub. That's how you know it's a good piece" --> If you could somehow leave reviews anonymously on NG, this is how I would know it was from you. ;D
Thanks again for the review, Ale! ^^
I like ambient stuff! This reminds me of some old RPG soundtracks.
Nice job! :)
Thanks! I practiced a bunch of music stuff over the summer, and messed around with some FL Studio thingies. Im learning!
