This is really catchy!
You make sure to keep the track interesting by constantly adding new and exciting stuff. It helps that the melodies are really good!
I think the mix is pretty solid too :)

I definitely get the asian feel from this too, thanks to the key you used, so you definitely succeded in that.

I'd say that the only part that really could use a bit of extra work is 2:31 to 2:58. The piano sounds pretty fake, and all the hits sounds as though they're pretty much the same velocity, which causes that part to sound a bit flat. There's also really not too much going on there in genereal, which in one sense is fine, as it's a bridge, but still, I think the sound doesn't work quite as well as the rest of the track!

Either way, great job with this! I enjoyed listening :D

Tennon responds:

I get it, I know that that part is very very strange, I just put some very random stuff to fill that part when I was making the song. But anyways thanks for the review piano god!

This is a really nice cover of the piece! Your use of reverb made this a very atmospheric experience, which I really appreciate. I love the sound of this guitar too <3
You manage to play this with a lot of emotion, which for me is the most important aspect of music. I don't have much else to say, other than "well played!", as I'm too busy enjoying the listen :)

Great job!

neBSounds responds:

Thanks matey glad you enjoyed it!

You're really good at the ambient stuff, dude! And I'm sure I've told you before, but I love ambient music, so this is an automatic bonus in my book xD
I listened to this a week ago already, and it's still awesome now upon relistening!

I love the way you include human sounds, like the talking over radio, the whispers, and so on. Not only that, but you manage to give this a very emotional atmosphere, thanks to the strings and the effects, so well that this would be a perfect cinematic experience for a serious movie! Personally, I imagine something in space (imagine being all alone, up there; I think you get what I mean), when I hear this.

Once again, your fire effect - which isn't nearly as common as the rain that most poeple tend to use - hits right at home.
Awesome work on this track, man!

I love it :)

Heh, amazing stuff as always. I really enjoy how you use simplicity in this track; you only use a few elements to bring out a lot of emotion! This would've been really good as a calm solo intrument piece already, but I'm glad you decided to go with a more powerful feel instead! The melodies and harmonies are great too :D

Thanks for sharing this music with us :3

larrynachos responds:

I wrote a huge reply back when I first got the review, but I accidentally refreshed the page twice, so I got mad and gave up.

tl;dr Thanks LSD!

Oh wow, this sounds really great! Amazing job with this :D! Are these real recordings? It sounds that way! In that case, did you play the intruments yourself?
Either way, it's wonderful!

sebastien01 responds:

Thank you very much ! I appreciate a lot that you like this :) It's not real recordings, I took some piano and guitar sounds on Reason 5. I play the notes on my keyboard then I work on the midi file I get from this. I play real piano and guitar though.

Most of the time I play on an idea for 20-30 minutes, and I keep the parts I find the most representative of what I want to get. I modify a little bit the notes, mix and master it but I try to keep it as near as possible from the original recording. I've got some uploads where I modify much more the notes than this one, it depends on how I feel I guess :P

Do I like it? I love it :D!!!

This is just the kind of inspiring music I need for writing my exam (from home). Alright, let's do this!!!

LunyAlex responds:

Sorry for the late reply. My schedule is still rockier than I would've hoped.

Thank you for the kind words!

PM me with how the exam went :D

This sounds great so far! The voice acting is top notch! It's well written as well. The background music is a good fit :)
The extra sounds, like the typing and the door adds a lot to the atmosphere.

I have a minor complaint: There's no issue with headphones, but with only the computer's speakers, I had to put extra focus into listening to the talking. I think that maybe the music could be lowered just a bit and the voices brought out, to fix this. I'm not entirely sure if that'd do the trick though. I'm sure you'll work it out to a point where it's all great and clear in the end though ;)

Good job!

JayWEccent responds:

Thank you :) As for the sound I think it's the combination of the foley background noises like the fan, radio and whatever else in Walt's office plus running it all through an old radio filter. Once the final product is finished I will try to fix this by turning down the bg as well as the music. Thanks for letting me know.

One thing I also found out is people hear things differently on different systems rather that be a tv, computer or laptop. Someone told me about how they could hear my laptop fan on my old demo so thats why I did a newer one. I never noticed it playing the demo on the things I have. I will try to fix this though.

This sounds awesome, dude! Good job :D
Is that you singing? If it is, you have a great voice!

PapoFuradoPA responds:

Thank you!!!
I apriciete your rate to me!

Heh, I love the inspiration behind this xD
It's fine that you didn't finish it for Valentine's Day, as we get to enjoy it now instead :)

As with everything you make, it sounds wonderful. Got me in the mood, if you know what I mean ;)

Noisysundae responds:

Well, I was just doing things like most men do. :P

This is such a sweet and nice song!
I just finished watching "Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso" yesterday, and all piano music gets me pretty emotional still :O

Happy Valentine's Day <3

I exist. That'd pretty much be it. Pictures made on Paint.NET (getpaint.net) and Apophysis 7X.
