[Elusive Home]

You know a song has lured you over when you can't help but want to dance to it. But not only does this piece have a compelling rhythm, but it has some real atmospheric and melodic value! The melodies are all hooks, and the instrumentation is intriguing.

I knew I liked where this piece was going already after hearing the first seconds, since the piano was produced in such a nice way, and already hinted the main melody. This piece has some nice alternate melodies too, like the one around the one minute mark. It pairs well with the musix box/synth bell section at 2:06. I really like the basswork there too.

The progression of this piece is more or less perfect, and keeps the listeners attention. Now, there are a few synth sounds that arguably could've sounded a bit sweeter, but it doesn't distract much from the listening experience. An example of this is the lead at 2:35, heard more in the right ear. It just doesn't feel like the right sound to me.

I really love this piece, and I hope it does well in the audition!

P.S. Bonus points for the interesting ending.

Ooh, that tempo acceleration! I was wondering when you'd be back! I was actually talking about that with LunacyEcho the other day. And almost like summoned, here you are, with a lovely chill yet energetic track! I'm very much a fan of the climax with the lovely lead at around 2:27 :D
