I love piano music like this :D
It reminds me of Kingdom Hearts, which is never a bad thing. It also bears some resemblance to "Love is Strong as Death" by Phonometrologist, here on Newgrounds (For example, 0:29-0:32 here reminds me of 2:26-2:29 and 5:17-5:20 of his piece). And that is one of my favorite pieces :)

I love your chord progressions and melodies here. The piano sound is very soft and sweet too, so the Christmas feel definitely shines through. Thanks for sharing! This definitely earned a spot in my favorites :D

ForgottenDawn responds:

Aw, thank you so much! I need to check that track out, so thanks for mentioning it. :D
My influences have been multiple actually, from Newgrounds as well. The "Colour My..." series comes to mind, which is one of my favorites. Then there's Flower and Cloud by thatgamecompany, the "Up" soundtrack (Pixar), it's how I said in the description, there's a bit of everyone here. XD

Oh, cool! It's nice to hear some piano music from you for a change :D
I feel like the name fits the music very well too.
I like it, good job!

Ooh, this is super cool! It would fit a puzzle game perfectly too. Favorited :D

ForgottenDawn responds:

Thanks for the fave! This is REALLY old, but hey, I like when old ideas are given a new life. It's refreshing and it keeps those ideas alive.

You must be telepathic or something. Any one of these days, I had decided I would force you to compose something new, as I hadn't got my dosage of new johnfn tracks lately. Seems like the issue solved itself just in time.

Also, could you please stop making such awesome tracks in such a short amount of time? Some people might get self-esteem issues XD
The loop is smooth too, which is something I definitely appreciate.

The mix is super clear, and pretty loud (which is good, duh). I like all the different sections, the transitions are good. The percussion is neat. But as always, the most awesome thing is all the great melodies. Really catchy, and most fitting for a game. You better end up finishing it this time!!! >:D

johnfn responds:

Haha, yeah, I have been pretty busy with my new job, and then when I get a break on the weekends I just take long naps. :P

I hope I finish the game too! We'll see...

Oh wow, I totally agree with Noodle! This is an exceptionally good demo reel :D
Once again, your range and accuracy are both very impressive. I hope people will find this, and want you to do voices for their projects :)

JayWEccent responds:

Oh, thanks you very much for that. It means so much to me in so many ways :)

Oh wow, this sounds amazing. I haven't even heard it all yet, but it's already a new favorite of mine. Great job dude, even if it's a bit old at this point. keep going!

Dylnmatrix responds:

Thanks so much LSD! Glad you like it!

I already left a short review for this on the forums. I kinda guessed that it was yours. But that's not the reason that it's one of the three tracks I voted for. I really like the melodies and the instrumentation. Great job!

Everratic responds:

Hi, thanks for voting for me! I didn't expect to get any votes after realizing that the theme was required.

Oh wow, turns out you're great at pretty much every genre o.O
Really tasty jam on this sundae, I must say. The quality is most exquisite. Wonderful job!

Noisysundae responds:

I rarely do metals since there are so much hate toward the VST metal stuff. :P
Thank you, LSD.

That was fast!
This is so freaking awesome XD
I'm glad that I requested this; you did such a good job!

I hope you get more requests :D

JayWEccent responds:

Thank you very much :) I was happy to do it. I had a bit of a problem hitting the higher notes because my mic was for some odd reason resonating weird and it hurt my ears.

While I personally prefer the version that includes the other instruments, the solo piano version is really nice as well! My only critique would be that while the chords and melodies are great, the piano playing feels a bit mechanic without anything to back it up (as it's quantized). But humanizing a solo piano takes a lot of work, so it's very understandable.
once again, a very nice piece :)

Everratic responds:

Thank you for reviewing the song twice! I agree that it sounds mechanical by itself. It would sound better if I added more pauses between chords and ignored the tempo and time signature, but I didn't do that originally because of the accompanying instruments.

I exist. That'd pretty much be it. Pictures made on Paint.NET (getpaint.net) and Apophysis 7X.
