This is pretty cool :O
And also pretty. Your vocals are always interesting to hear in your music, and this sure was an intriguing use! :D
I'm looking forward to hearing what you've been working on lately, once the time is ripe ;)

backwardecho responds:

Awe, thank you so much for your kind words!^^ <3 Yarr, I hope you'll like my next song too! x)

The final result is wonderful! It's difficult to believe how quickly you made this, especially since you were kind of moonlighting this!

As ST mentioned, the realism is always a nice aspect of your compositions. The dynamic use of volume, is especially effective with the high quality choirs. I love the development at around the 2 minute mark. The transition works so well! The instrumentation, arrangement and structure are all on point. I would love to one day, see your work on the big screen!
So I'll be waiting for when that day comes, eagerly ;)

Obv, I love the piano work! Once again, it sounds pretty realistic since it's not perfect; some notes seem to be just slightly off the beat, and the velocities sound pretty natural :D
It risks getting a bit buried in the mix at points like 3:40, but I think you managed to bring it out well enough!

Finally, I think it's worth noting just how effective the chords and melodies of the piece are. This would sound good even without all the orchestra on top. The percussion near the end is pretty cool too!

Anyway, that's it for me. In reality, I could've just told you I really love this piece, which I do! I'll share it with a few of my friends too ^ ^

SoundChris responds:

Thanks so much - i am really happy you are comfortable with the result. I am always a little bit over-critical when it comes to my own stuff and find tons of little issues and details that could / should be fixed (and they are there for sure :D ). But as long as i try to improve i think its ok. There is stil so much i want to learn - especially concerning production, mastering and mixing.

Have a great weekend friend!

Really exciting stuff! This piece got me pumped :D
I'm thinking about listening to it again when I exercise later on xDD

zybor responds:

thanks a lot for your review, LSD! :) glad this track can get you pumped up!

I love it! It's great how you're exploring new sounds again :O!!!
Such great melodies and progression too. What you did at 1:58 was really unexpected, but a super cool move!

Same with approx 3:30. So good use of woodwind instruments!

This is such a refreshing song. #TimeToReListen

zybor responds:

Thank you very much for your review! :)

Heh, look at you submitting a serious piece on this date :)
In the very least, this is a million times better than my upload today!

I like the style of this track! :D
Yeah, the generation before us, and maybe my generation too, will be among the last ones to save this planet from an early fatality. I mean, the damage is already done, ofc. But it would still be possible to mitigate the damage. I also think we should explore space much more than we curently are doing, and focus our funding on that. But it's not easy when 62 people own 50% of the worlds wealth :V

So we're pretty much fucked! Let's do what we can, and enjoy life as it is while we can. Doesn't make it less depressing though, really!
Well, ofc, as you know, I don't think we should ever stop trying. That's when we really lose, after all.

Great track, man!

zybor responds:

The reason why I mentioned this as eco-fascism, is because killing people with climate change and disaster, systematically. Not just anyone, but the poor and people of color. Look at Katrina. Look at Sandy. Thousands died from not just the storm, but the apartheid of the governments. They had private military murdering black people to keep them from surviving. That was more than a decade ago, letting alone now.

As a bottom feeder who only recently, just got out of the street life, I recognize that the struggle of poor working class are unseen to vast majority of people. And even more so to the rich. And climate change is going to make it worse. It's not going to be Trump's children who suffer, it's going to be my people and many more.

Thank you for your review. :) see you around Skype.

Haha, don't mind the score on this one! I really don't get why, but you're apparently the victim of a zero-bomb raid xD
As you know, I already said I liked this, and obviously someone decided it was worth a front page feature :D

I guess maybe people didn't like the style? But in all honesty, I find it to be very refreshing. It still has some very interesting melodies, harmonies, rhythms, structure, progression, and all that. The atmospehre is really cool, and the blend of instruments gives this a pretty unique sound. I'm sure it could be mixed to be just a bit less muddy, but I don't really mind, as I can discern everything if I listen closely.

Really, I love this style. Nothing much else to say, other than good work, and keep it up!

Everratic responds:

I don't think someone disliked this song in particular that much, because as you mentioned, multiple songs of mine were zero-bombed. This song was probably zero-bombed a second time due to groupthink.

It's nice to hear that one of my songs can sound refreshing! Only a few years ago, multiple people used to call my songs generic and bland.

I agree that the mix could be better, but I did what I could with my knowledge. And anyway, I want it to sound slightly muddy, just with the piano being slightly easier to discern.

Thank you for the review!

Aah, atmospheric music. Pretty melodic and active such, as well! I think this would be nice to fall asleep to, so maybe I'll try at some point :)

larrynachos responds:

Thanks LSD :)

Catchy and melodic. Not much of a review, but I enjoyed the music, which I hope is as important ^ ^
Good luck in the A.I.M.!

Ceevro responds:

That's actually ALL that's important! And a short review from you is a good thing! You've usually got lots to tell me I could improve on, and if you haven't left me with a wall of text, it probably means I'm doing something right!

I really enjoyed the listen! It's a good and effective melody, with nice instrumentation and arrangement :D
Thanks for sharing ^ ^

LawnReality responds:

Thank you! I'm glad you like it. :)

I love it! I'm pretty sure I've heard it before, possibly on your bandcamp, but the piece doesn't become worse because of that ;)

ForgottenDawn responds:

Thanks! Yeah, it's a pretty old one, from 2015
