Man this is intese!
It brings me back to the older days of NG, with tracks released by examplewise ParagonX9. It's perfect for Newgrounds's birthday!

Wonderful job here :D

sebastien01 responds:

Thank you very much for the awesome compliment, being compared to the legendary ParagonX9 is more than anyting I could expect about how much someone would appreciate this song :D Thanks for the review, it's greatly appreciated, even more coming from someone who makes such nice music as you. ;)

Omg yes, this sounds amazing! Wonderful to hear something new from you. It's a shame how people always go around 0-voting tracks when there's a competition going on. But I'll say thing which is for sure, and that is that this track deserves not 5, but 5000 stars from me ;)
The loop is almost perfectly celan too, aside from a miniscule click sound.

I'll make sure to return to this later, for inspiring background music! Thank you for sharing your work <3

Phonometrologist responds:

Thank you my friend. If people got rated here, you would get 5000 stars for your always positive demeanor.
I noticed that click sound too. I'm going to take a look and upload it again in a couple days to fix that.
Also, oh how time flies by. Next up is the AIM contest, and I'm looking forward to seeing the audio portal more alive because of it.

This sounds pretty neat :D!
Nice improvception, dude ;)

Also, unfortunately, I've only heard OF Hamilton D:

johnfn responds:

Thanks LSD! Also you should really go check out hamilton omg it's amazing.

Did... Did you really make this without hearing anything until you were done o.O? That is definitely a Beethoven challenge true to the core!

And to add to that, this sounds incredible! The chord picks are nice, and the harmonies and melodies are very atmospheric. The flute might have a little bit too reverb for my taste, but in the end, it sounds pretty good regardless.

Heh, I didn't expect that electronic part there at the half way point (I hope nobody reads this and has it spoiled; in that case... Sorryyyy), but it too sounds incredibly awesome. And the combination of both at the end is just splendid.

Brilliant job with this one! Favved :3

Phyrnna responds:

Yea @.@;;; It was pretty darn hard but I tried my very best to make something that's acceptable. >o<;
I'm glad that you liked the electronic part, I kinda did that on a whim and it worked! :D
Thanks for listening and enjoying~! <3

I'm sorry to hear that you feel this way. When we reach this age, much unfortunately, this is what tends to happen to some degree, with friends and all. I've recently experienced the same thing; I've been in the same schools as most of my good friends all the way through, until now. Heck, even since daycare! But now, several have moved to different parts of the country, and they are studying separate things. Luckily, we still keep in touch, so I hope you'll be able to do the same with your friends as well. Wouldn't it be nice if life was simpler sometimes though, and everyone didn't stress so much, and be in such a hurry to do who knows what?
But, people must pursue their own careers and more importantly, their own happiness. As must you, and I, and we. It's good to hear that you already have some plans after high school. Also, don't forget the oline community we have here either :)
Hopefully, most of us will always be around, in one way or another :')

Take care!

And as for the review, you already know I love the track. It's very effective, and I've listened to it about 5 times already :3

larrynachos responds:

Late reply but thanks babe <3

This is a very nice improv. It's a shame that the reasons it exist are so dire, but I guess that tragedy and good music sometimes go together. I'm very aware of that fact.
I hope that you and your family, including the hospitalized person will manage. Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of music, either way.

sebastien01 responds:

Thank you very much for your support. It's always hard to be helpless in front of this kind of situation. The only thing we can do is telling the person we are with him/her, trying to be as positive as possible. Playing piano especially improvisation is such a relief for my mind when I have strong feelings about a situation or someone, I'm sure you understand it at 110%.

We're always hoping that the disease goes away, but we stay realistic, it's a disease at birth, and there are something like 100 persons in the world suffering from this so the research doesn't go forword very fast. It's a long lasting one, but as long as the symptoms grow, more and more medications are needed. It's not easy, but the person affected by this on my family is very strong and keeps positive, enjoying every minutes of her life as well as she could, she stays very strong in despite of the events. She is a model for me, and for a lot of people who know her.

Well, thank you very much again for the good words!

Once again, I'm flattered that I'm being credited at inspiration for yet another song. And a truly beautiful one at that!

The rain sounds so nice, in combination with the guitar and the piano. The melodies are simple and very effective, and most importantly, they sound incredible. I love the chords in the middle section, all the way to the end :O

The production is wonderful too. I wish I would learn to mix well as quickly as you did xD
Alas, I don't have much time for that atm. But sooner or later, I will have :)
This is a very inspiring composition! Favorited :3

larrynachos responds:

You're an incredible pianist, and I aspire to be able to produce a convincing piano piece that sounds just as real as a live performance.

I wish I could have done more with this track. At around 2:14 I wanted to have a soft accordion or something, but I had just about run out of energy for the night. I slapped on a crappy ending and exported it. The piano chords sound fake to me, as I didn't change the strum times for each chord, and the mixing was minimal, with slight EQing of the guitar, rain, and piano.

I'm really glad you liked it though. I hope you're not patronizing me or something :X

This is a really nice track! It's nicely balanced, well mixed, and has a lovely blend of sounds.
Added to my favorites :3

EctiBot responds:

Thanks Lucid :D. Really glad you like it :)

This is beautiful :)
I'm really glad you managed to find some old stuff! Thus far, I've been lucky to not lose much of my work, but I can imagine what it'd feel like...

Great work on finishing it up too!

Such school, much sadniss :(
I can relate, unfortunately :/

But, summer break begins in a month or so for me. Just some 14 essays to finish first...

Oh, and also, this track sounds 100% LunacyEcho. So it's a pass :D

LunacyEcho responds:

Good luck with all your essays! So many essays. SO MANY ESSAYS.

I exist. That'd pretty much be it. Pictures made on Paint.NET (getpaint.net) and Apophysis 7X.
