Alright, so maybe my choice of title isn't the best... (Or maybe it is?)
We worked pretty hard on the cover, but maybe even harder on the video itself, as we wanted to make it look good. Without further ado, please have a little look:
I hope you enjoy it :)
Apart from that, and not quite as importantly, I just uploaded an original piano composition to NG:
If you don't really have time to check out more than one of them though, I'd prefer it if you took a look at the video. I know, I am not that good at self-advertising, especially not subtly. But that's part of the fun though, isn't it?
Hey! School is soon over for me (well, for a couple of months; it'll come back to haunt me soon enough). I've really only got 1 test, 1 presentation, and 2 essays left. That's right, I've actually managed to get some work done!
Still, I'm fairly certain that that'd be it for now. Thanks for sticking by, and for readin' this silly post :'3
Have a wonderful time!
That's just a silly combo title, for the things I'm going to shamelessly self-advertise in this post ;)
First off, here's one of the biggest (and best) orchestral masterpieces I've been fortunate enough to be a part of:
I urge you to take a listen, as I think that @ForgottenDawn and I really managed to create something quite amazing together. We've been working on that one for a while, keeping it a bit under the radar until now :)
The track is a part of (and was made for) The Underground Collective.
Other than that, I recorded a silly improv at my university a few weeks ago:
Towards the middle, I start to play way faster than I'm actually able to, but it still turned out pretty cool imo, despite the quality (because we all know that phones are the best devices to record beautiful piano sounds with xD).
So yeah. As has been happening a lot lately, sorry for being slow at responding to some of the longer messages and such I've gotten. I've been even more pressed on time than usaully lately (largely because of my own fault). I am supposed to write 5 essays in less than 20 hours atm, and I have school tomorrow. To add to that (and to take away time from the time limit), right now I'm going to sleep. So we'll see how that all turns out :D
But don't worry, I have a back-up plan in case I fail to deliver ;)
Either way, I guess that's what's up. How are y'all doing?
The title for this post would also be a pretty apt name for a ragtime piece, wouldn't it?
If I had time, I would probably make one.
BUT THAT IS THE PROBLEM! D:<
I'm experiencing a severe lack of time, lately. I know I complain about this every month, and that a lot of you are really busy too, but maybe that is yet another thing that can bring us all together, as a community :)?
As usually, it's mainly my studies that are keeping me busy. I have more than 10 essays to deal with, in the coming month. I should probably get started on some of them, sooner or later...
So I'm sorry for my inactivity lately. Especially to the people I owe responses to, in forms of reviews or messages. And of course, I have a few tracks which I have to make sooner or later, most of which will unfortunately be delayed, because I have so much other stuff to do as well (@JayWEccent). I hope that's okay!
I've only really had time to focus on making piano music (mostly improvisations and the like), as that comes naturally to me, and doesn't take up much time. For example, today I recorded a quick cover of the Main Theme from Trine:
I don't have much else to bring to you this time, but I hope you are all doing okay, and that you'll keep on being awesome. That's all for now ;)
Hello friends, fans, and fellow Newgroundsers! :'D
As always, time has beeing flying as if chased by a hawk, and I've been kept very busy, by activities such as schoolwork, and other projects of mine. Or even just miscellaneous events taking place now and then, often enough to make an impact.
Today, however, I'm making a post in order to celebrate my birthday, and to let you know what I've been up to this past month. Mostly, I've been collaborating with different people, as I've already mentioned before, and you will see the result of that, sooner or later. This year, I didn't make a cover of "Happy Birthday", but I still have time to surprise someone else with one, when the time comes... :D
Or you could listen to a version with the mistakes fixed, here on NG:
Don't ask about the hat, because I honestly couldn't tell you myself o.O
I don't really have anything else to say right now, other than that I urge you to check out the story my sister wrote, as it's really well written, and is only one page long. You could even try to comine the music with the read :)
If you like it, and write a comment or show appreciation in any other way, I'm sure my sister will be happy :D
Anywho, I hope you're all having a good day, today, whenever you're reading this. Until next time!
Hiya peeps :3
[EDIT: I just uploaded a new and weird track, check it out! ... Please?
I just figured I'd give a short update, to tell you what I've been up to lately. Which is... Pretty much nothing D:
Turns out that studying takes a lot of your time. Who'd have thunk it?
I have plans on finishing a track later today (after school and a piano lesson I'm giving) which I started working on more than a month ago, but haven't had time to complete, until hopefully now [EDIT: Mission failed, but I aim to get it done this week in the very least].
Other than that, I have plans on learning a few new tracks on the piano, so that I get something interesting to upload to my Youtube channel.
This week I really have to finish writing an exam as well... After I'm done with that, I hope I'll finally get some time to collaborate with other Newgrounds musicians to create some new and sweet music!
In the meantime, you could check out this silly video of me playing a weird arrangement of Itsy Bitsy Spider, on a Grand Piano at my school:
If you find this newspost to be too short, I challenge you to read my latest blog post as well. Disclaimer: It's ridiculously long, and filled with my uncensored, weird and kinda philosophical thoughts. Read at own risk.
That's all for now. I hope you'll all have a great week!
It has already been another month. Time sure flies by... And times sure are busy too!
As school has started again, I feel I haven't had time to do everything that I want to do, lately. But that just means that everything is as it always has been. Either way, here's a small update of what I'm up to:
I apparently started giving piano lessons every week, so that's something. I'm also planning on collaborating with lots of NG people, but I'll let the names remain a mystery for now. I am still working on BRUCE (sorry it's so slow, I swear I'm really busy!), and I'm still composing other music. I was recently asked to create some music for a certain event (local, so not online), but we'll see if I have time for that. However, it might interest you to know that I'm going to start being active on my youtube account!
I found out that apparently, my phone shoots videos in okay quality, so I decided (and was practically forced by @EtherealWinds) to record videos of me playing the piano. So I'm going to start uploading videos of such nature every now and then.
But I've got to start with something, right?
So for now, we have this:
[EDIT: And here's another upload as well, of a spontaneous improvisation on a real piano:
And finally, a normal Newgrounds upload of yet another improvisation:
I've been a bit busy with school related things lately, which is why improvisations have been easier and quicker to make than full compositions].
I'd appreciate it if you took yourself a listen :'D
I think that's it for now though...
I hope you're all well!
Silly NG :'D
I woke up to this today:
So something tells me that the features at the bottom of the page just miiight be automated based on weekly popularity? :p
Thanks for listening to mine, and to mine & dem0's track enough to make them so popular at the start of this year :)
But is that enough? No of course not. Since I took second place in Bosa's "The Gift of Christmas" audio contest, another track of mine is currently frontpaged as well. And yet another christmas piece of mine, from 2014, was in the frontpaged batch right before that:
So yeah... In theory, I could have another track (that got me the first place in the second round of Skyewint's NGMT contest) of mine frontpaged as well. But I said that there is no need, based on the fact that I've clearly been accidentally stealing spots from other great musicians lately. I actually ended up scoring second place in the overall NGMT 2015 edition, which I'm really happy about.
I did work really hard at the end of 2015, to reach precisely 52 audio submissions that year, to finish a lot of projects, and participate in the final contests of the year. I'm really thankful that all that hard effort paid off and was recognized by Newgrounds. But this is perhaps a bit over the top xD
Either way, if you're not tired of listening to my stuff by now, I'd be happy for you to listen to the collaboration that I and @Mattashi uploaded a few days ago! We'll definitely collaborate a lot more in the future, to bring you more RPG style tracks. This one, is supposed to sound like the music that would play in the starting village/town of a game:
I also apparently reached the peak for amounts of tracks that can be in a playlist, late in 2015. Since I now currently have 111 audio uploads on Newgrounds, I had to make a new one :3
I don't think you can embed playlists?
Anywho, that's pretty much it for this post. Thanks a lot for listening to the music that a random dude is just casually composing from his bedroom(s). It means a lot :3
I hope you're all having a good time!
Hello again, everyone!
Once again, it has been a month since my latest update post. Despite not having had any school for a few weeks, I've been quite busy lately. I've been working hard, to reach my goal of 52 music uploads this year! I did that last year, and I'm happy to announce, I did it again. I like to think of them as one for every week of the year :D
This has been such a giving year for me. I have focused a lot on making music in general, and I can say I've learned a lot, and improved greatly. I've also been trying to take part of almost every music related contest in 2015. Man, there were so many of them! They have all been a blast, thanks to the never tiring organizers :3
I made a new game this year, and it was received quite well. So a sequel can be expected sometime in 2016, as I've promised one to so many people :)
I also had the honor of composing the score to BUBBLEBOY, which is a very underrated game, made by none other than @Chaz!
I've had a great deal of my uploads featured this year too, which is awesome. I suspect that the culprits behind this are mainly @Tom and @Step. Maybe someone else too? Thanks a great deal, nonetheless.
In 2016, I will probably relax a bit on the music front, meaning I won't partake in every competition. I will still make music whenever I get the chance. I will also keep working on creating music for the BRUCE project, made by @JayWEccent. He is a great writer, and an amazing voice actor (and singer). Be sure to check him out!
This year has had it's downsides too, as every year has, but I'd rather not focus on those right now.
Instead, take a listen to a track I've composed today!
And how could I not mention the fact that I've been able to be a part of 4 collaborations with @dem0lecule this year?
I learned a lot through him, and I look forward to working with him in the future as well. To send 2015 to the past, and welcome 2016, we just uploaded our very first (and slightly unfinished) collaboration for your listening pleasure.
Finally, here's my final blog entry of this year (on my "real" blog). It's a bit personal this time, I guess.
Now, I'm fully ready to take on 2016. Come at me bruh!
Happy New Year!!!
Oh wow. It sure has been a while since my last post here. Time seems to simply fly by :p
And since last time, I've gained some new fans as well. Thanks a lot, not only to you, but to each and every one of my fans. I never expected to reach this many, and this fast too. To be honest, I've been pretty lucky. I've got a lot of exposure thanks to frontpagings and such :)
Whether you're here for my music, my games, or anything else, I'm happy all the same. And I'll keep doing all of those things in 2016 (as well as during later years) too, so make sure to stick around and show up now and then!
In order to show my gratitude, I just uploaded a stupid track of me singing with no music in the background, because why not.
Other than that, I recently bought Stormdrum 3. I haven't really made anything big with it yet, but I tried it out quickly, and this is the result:
Even though I didn't mix or produce it properly, it sounds way more powerful than most of my tracks before it. It'll be fun to experiment further with SD3. I'm also currently working on making tracks for @JayWEccent's BRUCE project. Aside from that, the NGMT is currently going on. I should probably get to work on that too...
Finally, I'm tying up loose ends, and diong my best to finish stuff from earlier in the year, to get closure. I'll hopefully upload the piano version of "Facing the Foe" before the end of the year, as well as a few mystery projects. I'm trying to reach a total of 52 uploads this year; one for each week. I did that last year, and I'm pretty close now, so it should be doable!
Btw, here's a general song tip... Listen to this!
Yeah. Once again, thanks a million for becoming fans of mine! I'm still in a slight disbelief about the sheer amount of you :O
If any of you feel particularly brave, you could try taking on an insanely long read of 6000 words. Yesterday night, I wrote a blog post about bisexuality. It turned out to be very long, and very weird (and pretty personal too). Read at own discretion :p
That's it for this time. I hope that you've been having a great day so far, and that it will continue to be great, and that the next day will be great as well, and hopefully, your entire life too. Until next time ;)
Well, the title is a bit of a clickbait, but not entirely. First off... AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!! I'm going insane. I'm way too busy right now. I am used to having a lot more time to do the stuff I want to do. And right now, I am so busy I even have hours upon hours of youtube to catch up on. I guess that's the way things go when you start studying after a long break, huh?
Even though I have a lot of reviews and such that are still on my bucket list of what to do on Newgrounds, I have managed to be at least a bit productive. Mainly, dem0lecule and I just uploaded another collaboration for the NGADM 2015!!!
This one, is a piece we truly feel is important to us, and it has a lot of meaning behind it. More information to find on the song page itself.
The track is pretty darn long, so most of my time these past weeks, have been spent working on it, as well as watching anime (to get me in the mood, hehhe). Some school and friend stuff in between too, to keep my sanity intact. I hope you'll enjoy the listen!
Oh, and I almost forgot!!!
Make sure to check out the wonderful track made by our wonderful opponent for the round, @JacobCadmus:
Other than that, I managed to, for the first time in a loooong while, write a pretty long blog post. And the contents are pretty substantial too!
At 4700+ words (that's right, words), it's probably my second longest entry thus far. It's about human sexuality, and whether or not everything we do is controlled by it. Check it out ;)
That's pretty much it for now. Thank you for lending this a moment of your attention!
