Awesome work man! Nice blend between Goofy and Yoda o.O

JayWEccent responds:

Thank you very much. That means a lot :)

Oh yeah! I remember hearing this with the video on youtube. It still sounds as amazing :D
The video of course, is wonderful too :p
Great job with everything in this competition :)

SoundChris responds:

Thanks man! Yeah i published that track a long time on youtube butthe authors didnt allow me to publish my track / video there (which is totally ridiculous ... that has been allowed in all the years before, too.... it is a huge filmscoring event and a very known competition. The track with the video is availiable via stream on the broadcaster´s web-page. So i dont really understand their point. But ok ... if they want it that way ... so be it :D

Glad you liked it and all the best wishes
Chris

He is back, and with another great track!
And what more, it's a horror track >:D

I'm sure you already know this, but I have an insanely huge bias against pieces like these. So yeah, obviously I like it quite a bit XD A melody is not always what is the most important. I think you handeled the effects and mixing just fine, and you succeeded in making the composition amtospheric. This does indeed remind me of the soundtracks from the Alien movies.

Good job! It's great to see something new from you after a break :3
Now, time to watch that trailer...

Phonometrologist responds:

Well that was fast. While listening to Allhelgona I thought it best to join the festivities. Its good to be back... Now I have to catch up on what I've been missing.

You know, I really love ambient horror music, so I do have a huge bias. But you know, this track is really awesome in every regard. I absolutely adore the Chinese Tam Tam!
This would fit a horror RPG game insanely well, actually.
Let's hope that this does well in the competition :D
Good luck, and keep up the brilliant work :3

Phyrnna responds:

I'm very glad you like it~! \^O^/
I don't usually get to do these so this was fun. :3

Nice :D
Once again, you've managed to compose another awesome and pretty cute song :3
The lyrics are pretty well written. I like how your style really shines through with this track, with both the guitar, and all the cool background stuff :p

As always, keep it up ;)

P.S. Them guitar melodies though o.O Neat solo parts :D

GhostLawyer responds:

I'm all about melodies. All day every day. And as always, thank you!

Oh my, isn't this awesome? And it's just my style of music too :D
A medieval mix with this amazing percussion really fits the game too, it would seem. That trailer was amazing o.O
I hope that things go well for the kickstarter :3
Congrats on getting to work on such a cool project! You've definitely deserved it :)

As for the music, I don't really have anything to criticise. You were already good, but you seem to have improved even more lately :p
Keep it up!

P.S. I like the vinyl-esque static in the end there ;)

larrynachos responds:

Thanks for the review as always, LSD! This is definitely one of my better pieces. It's actually a few months old, so I've improved even MORE since then xD

I really lucked out with this project. Hopefully it gets funded, because I could buy a new production PC with my initial pay (IF the kickstarter's funded). This game is also a great way to get my name "out there", hopefully opening the doors for bigger and better opportunities.

P.S. That vinyl-esque static wasn't intentional. I think it's just how the harp samples were recorded. I do indeed like the effect it produced though :)

Once again, you've made a great track!
As much as I love the music box, what really caught my attention were the awesome strings :D

larrynachos responds:

Thanks as always, LSD! I'm glad you enjoyed the track :D

You don't even understand the level of awesomeness this is on. It's so astounding on so many levels. I think you've earned a slot as one of the winners with this. I hope it'll get featured as well.

Wonderful job, man! As always, keep it up ;)

Noisysundae responds:

Thanks as always too, LSD.
You can give me lower than a 5, though. I think this isn't the best ones of mine. :P

Just as good as ever, huh XD?
This rhythm is super cathcy, and drags you in. This definitely awokes a sense of danger lurking closeby, so the title fits perfectly. I love all the effects too.

The melodies, although perhaps a bit simple, do their job well.
My favorite section is easily 2:00. The chord progression is great here, and it sounds like a kind of climax!

Awesome job, man :D

Mattashi responds:

Thanks Man :)

FL Slayer is always gold. Nuff said?
This sounds pretty neat! I especially like what's going around at and after the one minute mark. Those are some interesting melodies and chords. And the rhythm is enticing too!

Good job, and as always, keep it up :)

P.S. I love the ambiance in the very beginning!!!

DESHIEL responds:

I'll keep making FL Slayer music untill people start trying to hit me in the head with a Shreddage 2 copy xD

I exist. That'd pretty much be it. Pictures made on Paint.NET (getpaint.net) and Apophysis 7X.
