This is a great cover! I do like it ^ ^
Keep up the good work! :D

Thanks a lot! :)

I imagine dubstep is not one of the easiest genres to tackle. But you've pulled it off well! Gotta love that DD voice ;'D
Great job!

Spadezer responds:

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Since you mention it, I've found that this genre demands a lot of detail that you would miss by casually listening.

Simple yet effective! I like the concept :)

Satyre responds:

Thank you for the feedback :)

This is incredible! I've heard the original before, and I'm really impressed with the direction you took it! I also love Shimomura's battle music, so you hooked me in with the style immediately xD

Something else that's interesting is that parts of this somehow reminded me of Bowie's Blackstar (even if the genres are entirely different), but upon going back to listen to it, I think it's just the ominous undertone, at parts such as 0:26-0:36.

Wonderful job with this!

Troisnyx responds:

I haven't listened to Blackstar yet -- but now that you've mentioned it, I must go check it out. Glad you enjoyed it.

I didn't review this earlier, but I really like it!
Sorry for the short reviews today. Sometimes I don't manage to write as much, haha :D
I really enjoy the listens either way, though :)

zybor responds:

Thank you :)

100% agreed with Mattashi.
Such a cool electronic track! Would totally play a video game just for the music if this was featured in it. Subarashii!!!

zybor responds:

Thank you for your review!!! :D

That drop though.

backwardecho responds:

Thanks! xD

I just wanted to say that I really, really enjoyed this. Your chords progressions, and the progression of the song in genereal were lovely! The main melody, and the main chord progression is really effective. The instruments all have a wonderful sound as well. As I've told you before, you seem to have a really good sense for what makes an effective melody!
The dynamics are nice too. I think you managed to figure out what makes the piano sound good, fairly quickly! The velocities are fairly stable for this song, but honestly I feel that fits quite well. In later, more dramatic songs, you might want to experiment with having more silent parts, and some really impactful loud parts. That would've ruined this song though! It wasn't a criticism, just an idea.
The strings add some of that impact already.

I just wanted to mention, some of the melodies and chords you borrowed from different keys were especially to my taste. Unexpected sounds that sound lovely, give even more effect to a nice theme.
You also aren't afraid to use bits of silence at points, and you varied the left hand arrangements. You seem to be aware of, and have lots of useful compositional and arrangement tools at your disposal ;)

The piano playing sounds fairly real, too, aside from the fact that certain dynamics are a bit too similar. Don't worry though! It's quite subtle. As a pianist, it's just easier for me to notice :D

Ehh, I ended up blabbering again :V
I lost my train of thought ^ ^

Either way, I can hear a few similarities to my style of creating melodies/arrangements (especially in how varied this is; just the right amount of repetition)! It's super cool if my piece was able to inspire this in some way :D
Certain parts of this piece remind me of tracks from OSTs I really enjoy (just in style). The strings were used quite effectively here too.

It's also nice to see how avidly you've been using the new instruments since getting them. You're learning to use them super quickly too! As I suspected, your production value increased quite a lot with the addition of these libraries :)

Anyway, it's time for me to go to sleep. This is a great track, keep it up! I'm looking forward to hearing what you create next ^ ^

Everratic responds:

You were right, this is a very short review :O

" In later, more dramatic songs, you might want to experiment with having more silent parts, and some really impactful loud parts."

I'll definitely try this. I want to create a piano composition with a multitude of strong emotions.

"I just wanted to mention, some of the melodies and chords you borrowed from different keys were especially to my taste. Unexpected sounds that sound lovely, give even more effect to a nice theme. "

I'm glad appeals to your taste! I was browsing youtube yesterday while procrastinating, and youtube's algorithm recommended a piano tutorial video about borrowing chords from other keys. That's likely where I got the idea from for this song.

"The piano playing sounds fairly real, too, aside from the fact that certain dynamics are a bit too similar. Don't worry though! It's quite subtle. As a pianist, it's just easier for me to notice :D"

Thanks for pointing this out. I think I notice it too. It's especially noticeable during the part where four chords are played per bar.

Yeah, I think your arrangement style influenced me more than anything else.

I can't recognize any OSTs while listening to this track. Maybe you can tell me more about it another time, because I'm interesting in listening to them :)

Thank you for the review!

This was a wonderful listen!
Thanks for sharing ^ ^

Bosa responds:

Thank you for listening!
