As always, quite an impressive track. While everything from production to energy is good here, what I appreciate the most is the atmosphere created by the chords and the melody. It feels important, like a final decisive battle filled with despair, but also with a touch of hope, because the battle has to be won. Or something, haha.

Either way, I love it. Awesome work, and good luck!

Your sacrifice will not waste, brother. I put a piano in this piece because of you!

This is quite lovely :)
Shame about the project oversave!

Good luck in the finals ^ ^

sebastien01 responds:

Thank you very much! Means a lot for me :D

I was so stressed, and yep a little bit angry about this oversave xD I had to rush this one, there are some flaws and some parts I wanted to change and rerecord to have a more fluent and diverse song, but I couldn't do it with the time I had haha!

Thanks for the review ! ;) Really glad you appreciated it, despite all the flaws I hear when I listen to it

Oh yeah. This track's totally giving me tons of energy! Don't know if I really need it, as I'm probably going to sleep soon... But thanks for it anyway!

Good luck in the contest :3

PirateCrab responds:

USE IT TO POWER YOUR DREAMS.

Thanks bud! :)

Oh wow, this sounds awesome! So many interesting sounds o.O
I love it :O!

Great melody, progression and style too, ofc ;)
Seriously good work, and good luck! :D

Azhthar responds:

Glad you like it! Your feedback is always welcome ;) The first part feels still a bit empty imo... Maybe I´ll think about adding something there but I´m not sure about what, yet... Actually I´m in the mood to do more stuff like this at the moment. Let´s see if I´ll stay in the mood ;)

Finally listening to this now, and I am blown away by the atmosphere! It's incredible.
Great use of both the piano and the string quartette. The percussion adds a lot as well; what did you use for it?

You also know how to make good use of dynamics :O
I like the simple ending too. It's good that you weren't afraid to make it too slow. Atmospherical pieces kind of lose a bit of charm if they feel rushed :)

Awesome job, dude!

Azhthar responds:

Hey! Thanks for the awesome feedback! I hope Japan was good ;)
Actually I think although the track is a bit repetitive already it wouldn´t have harmed the piece if I would have made the buildup even slower... The percussion I used was from Damage (exept these thundernoises at the beginning which was rain after granular synthesis and filtering).

You're incredible at building up an atmosphere, ya know?

I too like the static in this track. I can imagine how it would sound without the static, and I think I'd prefer this version, because of the added elements to the mood and interpretation of the piece. The simple piano melody is brilliant, and even more so is the arrangement you managed to build around it. No wonder you made it to the next round ;)

Wonderful work!

ForgottenDawn responds:

Thanks buddy, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
I kinda have a thing for static noise. In certain circumstances it just speaks to me and it tells me a lot about nuances in the track that I wouldn't otherwise find.

Sorry it took a while, but I'm finally here to leave a review!

This is such a beautiful little piece. I love the chord progressions in this <3
The dynamics at play here are quite incredible too. Really nice playing, you've really mastered the use of the grace note ;)

I honestly have nothing bad to say about the piece. Great job, all around :D

sebastien01 responds:

Thanks a lot!! Your reviews are always heartwarming. Your opinion is always considered because I know you are a really talented musician. You give me this little confidence boost I'm lacking sometimes. I'm glad you enjoyed the dynamics and chord progression.
I tried a chromatic chord progression in the end, and finished this E minor song in E major. I never did it before, it's always cool to explore new territories. But well, I know that you know it too. Your music always has a unique touch to it.
Thanks again for this lovely review ;)

For some mysterious reason, I am now hungry.

johnfn responds:

The first thing we will learn how to make is... CHIPS

ha ha ha ha ha i havent made that joke before

I really like how this sounds now! Very satisfying to listen to for some reason. Well done :)

DESHIEL responds:

uplifting is always satysfiyin ;D

Oh wow! This is incredible in pretty much every way. I imagine a ton of work was put into it, but from what it sounds like, it was all worth it :O
Brilliant job, all of you!

A very fitting way to celebrate the anniversary :3

*Hits play for the fourth time*

Step responds:

Hey man! Sorry for taking ages to reply.

Super glad you like it. Lots of work was indeed put into it; I'd say close to 40 hours of work.

Thanks for the review ^_^.
