This song is full of LunacyEcho:iness XD
Yet, it somehow sounds like it has higher sound quality than some of your previous stuff. Maybe your production is getting better? That, or it's just the genre :/
*Reads description* Well, I guess it was the production after all :D!
The bass, percussion, and synths are perfectly balanced ;)

Anyhow, I like the song. The parts and transitions work well, and there's an overall chill feel to this track, which I like. Maybe your heart and the music that comes from it will eventually follow in Johnfn's... FootSteps ;) (get it? I also threw Step, AS WELL AS the title of this song in there XD).

I don't have much else to say about this track. I usually don't write too much about tracks that were specifically written for another person, as it should be up to them to review it (wise words learned from Adrian von Ziegler).
I really like the breakdown at 1:33 though, and I especially like the part at 1:51! The melody there sounds great, with a great choice of vsti sound :)

Oh, and about that melody between 2:23 and 2:25. I've heard the same five notes in several different pieces, I'm sure of it! I can't name any of them at the moment though. It's such a simple melody though that it's bound to have been used a lot :p

The ending sounds good, although there's really nothing that's special about it :'D

Great job, and goodnight >:)

WOOHOO

=> perfectly balanced =>

When you said that, I realized I forgot to stereo image the sounds. :P

=> FootSteps =>

OMG AHHAHAHAHA U SO FUNY

=> breakdown =>

The thing about the breakdown was that I was trying to experiment with silence. I think silence can be an extremely powerful musical tool if used correctly, and I just wanted to see what I could do with it. :)

=> 1:51 =>

It's funny that you mention the sound of the synth! It was just a simple saw lead, but I spent tons of time EQing and customizing that synth and the main melody synth of the chorus. Glad you liked it!

=> 2:23-2:25 =>

Sometimes, I'm scared that all of my melodies are actually stolen from other people.

=> ending =>

Well, at least it's more creative than just chorus=>note. :P

Thanks for the review! :D

Wan't to know what I think ey?

I think this is fantastic. I really dig the quality of the vsti:s you used too. This sounds very nice and clean as well as dreamingly soothing, and I think you really managed to capture the atmosphere you were going for, so the name fits perfectly. Awesome job with everyhing, including mixing!
(Something longer would naturally be even better, as I'm sure you know already XD).

Neon-Bard responds:

Eduardo Tarilonte's libraries are wonderful! They tend to have that 'soothing' sound that you are describing - I'm glad that I didn't butcher the legacy of these VSTs haha! I will admit that this was mostly an experiment with new sounds, though I should have made it much longer.

Really glad that you enjoyed the song (even if it was short)! :)

This was very fun to listen to. Your voice acting is at a high level, as is your writing. I especially like the sounds and effects though!
I'm also beginning to like BB Mush XD
Creepy stuff o.O
Great job ;)

GhostLawyer responds:

Thank you very much sir! ( ಠ◡ಠ )

As you might know, I like dark stuffz :3

As you also know, I like video game music.

as you ALSO know, I think this piece resembles old school video game music, which is always a plus in my book :'D
As I'm sure you also know... I've actually reviewed part of this song before, so I won't give you a full out review this time. (speaking of reviews, holy crap that guy below me gave a low score for no apparent reason o.O)

I understand what jobromedia means, but I actually like the simplicity of this. It's obvious that your intention wasn't to cram this track up with millions of synths and other instruments while mastering all of them carefully so that they sound just right, but rather to experiment while having some fun.

This has a bit of the LunacyEcho-y feel, but I like how it's actually very different from your usual style.

The melodies are great as always. They manage to stay true to the darker tone (while sounding a bit arabic at one point!). The bass too, along with the percussion, sounds just fine XD
Most transitions seem pretty random, but that's also what's pretty good about them. It's not just one transition that's a bit off; all of them are changing the song, giving it a feel of evolving.

What's more, I really like the ending on this one!

Sure, you could've used more instruments, mixed more and added more effects and stuff, but I like to listen to experimental stuff, and this definitely fits that description :)

All in all, great job ;)

LunacyEcho responds:

=> jobromedia =>

Thanks! I'm glad my intention showed.

=> melodies =>

The melodies were actually pretty interesting in this song. The majority of the chord changes in the song go from Cm-Bm and back, and I'm sure there were tons of notes that didn't actually follow that pattern.

=> transitions =>

I DEFINITELY wasn't working on transitions this time. :D The only things I did to make the transitions to the breakdown less bad were a snare drum roll and a synth arp. Unoriginal and ineffective, but I wasn't really focusing on transitions for this one. :P Glad you liked them, though!

=> ending =>

Yay! No more chorus->final note for me!

=> Sure, ... =>

Yeah, but there's lots of things I COULD'VE done, and I ought to start work on my next project soon. :P

Thanks for the review!

I don't have much to say, except for AWESOME JOB ;)

Spadezer responds:

Thanks .... Dreamer (I'll think of a nickname eventually)

My nickname for you will be LSD

Aww, the final track's up on Newgrounds too already :)
This album was amazing in it's entirety. I can't wait for you to make and release your next one, whenever that is! XD

Mattashi responds:

Thank you Lucid :)
My next album might be something completely different, I love to try out different genres xD
Maybe something a bit more cheerful :P

Amazing indeed. The intro and the transition after that already caught me, and the rest keeps on being splendid! ;)

InYourDreams responds:

Thank you very much! :) I'm glad you like it.

Nice! This is awesome. This is an easy track to just listen to while chilling, which is really good for the headache I have right now :D
For every track I listen to in the Harmony of Heroes project I become more and more amazed by its greatness.

ChronoNomad responds:

Hey, Lucid! Thanks a bunch for the review, and the fact that you can enjoy the chillness even with a headache is amazing. It was such an honor to be a part of the Harmony of Heroes project, and I'm surrounded by so many artists that I feel are so much more talented than myself. Or at the very least, they have much better samples than I! xD Thanks again!

Tell "TaintedLogic" that it's not difficult to beat me when I'm not at home :(
He should see the lightning speed I have when I get to lie with my computer in my lap the entire day!!! D:<

This is pretty good :)
The intro is very mood setting, and the synth at 0:22 fits in really well!
Too bad you don't have that great guitar samples, or this would sound even better. I think it's not that easy to find good rock/metal vst intruments in general :/

Anyhow, the rythm, melodies and percussion is naturally all good here.
The energy behind this piece is great. I just really wish you had better samples :(
(Secretly, I wish I had better samples too. I'm just afraid of buying anything specific, because I want everything >:D).

Anyhow...

Great job. You are destined to become a master in every possible music genre imaginable if you keep this up. Even dupstep o.O!!!

LunacyEcho responds:

Don't worry, you're both lightning fast. (Now, is that a good thing?)

=> intro =>

I actually like this intro quite a lot. Like you said, it adequately sets the mood, but isn't too in-your-face or sudden. It's hard to find that balance, isn't it? I find that when songs have a really simple intro, it gets tedious to listen to them after you listen to them a lot, whereas I can much more easily stomach intros with lots of different things after hearing them for a while because there's still a bit of unpredictability.

=> rock/metal vst =>

Well, I think it's just hard to find good guitar samples. Drums/bass are pretty easy compared to how hard it is to find a good guitar sound that you're not actually playing.

Thanks for the review, LSD!
