Number tirtheen ey? With such a luck it's no wonder you had a difficult time creating this :)

Dubstep ey? Now that is a very difficult genre for me to create any songs in, so I can totally understand the struggle behind making this. Naturally, as I'm sure you understand, this isn't the greatest dubstep song I've heard :D
I still think you did quite a good job, considering this is, as far as I know, your first attempt at creating something like this. The normal musical aspects of this piece are good and sound very much like you. The dubsteppiness though is as expected, a bit weird, even for being dubstep XD
You obviously lack a good dubstep library, which makes creating dubstep even more difficult. The effects you used were pretty decent. That "yeaaah" sounding noise was pretty funny at first, but almost got a bit irritaiting as it was repeated... A lot. Good job with the glitchiness in it though!

I always love listening to covers; it's so fun comparing them to the original. And wow is this different from the original :'D

That (brassy?) sample at the breakdown (0:43) sounds pretty horrible by itself I think, hahha, but maybe it's just me :p

There is one sound in this song that couldn't be beaten by anything though! That crow scream at 1:23 is awesome XD (I get it - Birdland).

Anyhow, a good attempt at least :p
Much better than anything dubstepish I could manage to create, and I would never even dare put what I made out there, so you're already several steps ahead of me! :D

...

You've hurt me.

I guess it was meant to be irritating. The novelty probably wears off by the second one because of the bad quality of it, and that continues pretty much throughout the entire song. :D

=> covers =>

I'm glad this is different enough. Covers are something I really enjoy doing and am definitely going to do more of in the future.

Well, maybe that's why I layered other sounds on top of it!

ALL HAIL THE STORM CROW

I know you're busy, so thanks for the review! You're halfway done, man. Keep on through.

Amazing work with all the four tracks you made for this project ;)
Honestly, they are all great!

steampianist responds:

Thanks man glad you like it

Hahha, this really sounds like johnfn, as expected of johnfn XD
What luck then that something sounds great when it sounds like johnfn ;)
I still get what you mean with that this is branching of your style, so don't worry.

This is a very chill song, and I have nothing to complain about; everything sounds great :p
The parts with vocals work really well too, actually :D

Buht whyes dids yous deletes a sectionz :( ?

johnfn responds:

Hahah isn't it so lucky that johnfn style sounds good? Otherwise god knows what I would have had to do. Maybe LSD-style...

The one section I deleted was actually really nice, but I was having trouble getting it to work well in the context of the song, and I was also having trouble with the chord progression... In the end I just ran out of time and deleted it, lol. I may submit it as a standalone sometime.

How does this have such a low rating -_-?
Anyhow, this piece, along with the entire album, is awesome!
KatMaestro's ARMA 3: Resist project has been really interesting to follow, and I can easily see how this song fits the style :p

Mattashi responds:

The star rating doesn't matter to me, what matters most is that I have awesome people like you reviewing :)
And yeah I can't wait to play it! I'd love to hear Kat's music in game :3

This is great! I don't have much to say, except for "Good job!" ;)
Favorited :)

Spadezer responds:

My thanks and appreciation ;)

Great music as always. I've mentioned it before, but it seems as there is no genre you can't master XD

I like how this piece is actually pretty simple in some ways, while it sounds like it isn't! I'd say this means that the production is pretty flawless :p
The percussion is great, as are all the other instruments.
The transitions all work well, and all the separate parts work well together.
Even the melodies are cool!

The only thing I could possibly mention is that this piece sounds a little samey all the way through, even though the parts are different. This is probably because the rythm is pretty much the same the entire time, and the intruments all sound alike. Some variation might give this piece more re-listenability. That, however, may be difficult to implement into the piece if it is supposed to sound a certain way and fit a certain genre ;3

Splendid job ;)

LunyAlex responds:

Yea, you're spot on, in that I'm very lazy with rhythms. If I make a beat that I like, I sometimes commit the fairly repulsive crime of using it throughout a song.

Thank you very much for the review, the kind words and the advice!
#Psyched!

I exist. That'd pretty much be it. Pictures made on Paint.NET (getpaint.net) and Apophysis 7X.
