I actually really like the arrangement, and all the creative ideas, along with the progression. I think what would've improved the piece for me, is a more moderate use of compression, and a less "in your face" mix. That's rare for a track from you too! Possibly because you're not used to mixing such a high-information (including vocals) track. It sounds like there's a loss of dynamics, which likely causes that "weak transitions" thing the others mentioned. Since arrangement-wise, I can hear them make sense.

As for the melodies, the lyrics, the glitching, etc. I think it's an idea-rich piece. With some more space and noticable dynamics, I think you could perfect the piece. Those are my two cents! Good luck in the FINALE!

A very instense track! It's a cool one for sure :)
I love all the effects too ^___^

Thank you for your review!! :)

Great use of rhythm and underlying harmonies here, with the choir and the strings. The melody is very prominent in the mix, and the progression is exciting. I love it! Thank you for sharing :D

zybor responds:

Thank you for the review dude! And thanks for listening!

This is beautiful! A very dynamic and emotional piece, with great instrumentation and an apt progression. Good luck with the album!! :D

Thanks so much! :3
I almost didn't upload it because I was so critical of it. I just hope I can get the album done on time.

Best of luck, man! Or maybe luck is something you won't need, hehhe ;)
We shall see!
Either way, great job on the killer track :D

FinnMK responds:

Yeah, it seemed like a fitting line to have in there. Thanks a bunch!

Well this was a fun listen!
You're so good at layering different elements in a way that makes them all work together. Even better, I love how there's kind of this back and forth between them, making for effective dynamics. Even better yet, it's at a compositional/arrangement level as well, with all the keychanges and the progression. Thanks for sharing ^___^

P.S. Gotta love them stories too!

Miyolophone responds:

Thanks a lot LSD! Layering was a key part of my strategy here— there are a lot of compositional and textural fun tidbits that aren't distinguishable when everything's going at once, but when you put them all together it works a lot better. Glad you enjoyed! :D

Oh wow, your electronic melodies are super rad!
I'm sorry I don't have time to write a longer review now, but I think you should know that this is a super solid track. Fantastic job!

zybor responds:

Thank you for your review dude! :) School is more important!

Oh my, that melody that comes in just around the first minute is so cool :O
As well as the one after it. You used very refreshing sounds for them!
The choirs near the end are great too! One of them a bit compressed/distorted, but that's probably intentional, and actually sounds really cool :DDD

Fantastic job! I love how you keep evolving your style. Keep up the great work!

zybor responds:

Thank you for your review :)

Another great podcast by you, Great Master (of Ceremonies :p)!

It effectively sums up the remaining parts of the contest :D
I'm pretty sure everybody who's going to read my post already has, so I'll make sure to include this in the next post!

Nice job :D
Keep up with the great work; only one round left o.O

O Scribe, my Scribe! Many thanks for reviewing yet one more podcast.

I'm happy to hear that I nailed down the salient points, and I figure I'd pretty much covered everything else at least once or twice, so this felt like the right time to talk prizes and such.

Well, I personally enjoy leafing through the various news posts of artists that I've added to my Favorites list, so I'm sure there will be future Newgrounders who will happen upon all things NGADM 2017 some day in the future. That said, I'll be looking forward to seeing this podcast grace your upcoming post! ^__^

Domo arigato, Mr. LucidShadow. I'm hoping to finish out my time as the Audio Deathmatch Emcee in style! But yeah, it's almost hard to believe that the end is nigh... :v

That's an interesting storytelling technique you used there, with the perspectives! And in many places, I'm sure it's very accurate too. I'll do my best to be a more motivating teacher, who takes the time to understand the pupils/students at least a little bit.
This track is awesome as well! The rhythms, tempo and atmosphere complement each other well :D
Oh, and lets not forget the awesome melodies, and instruments :O!

I'm glad to hear your production skills are still going strong ;)
Keep it up!

zybor responds:

BTW the manifesto wasn't mine. It's known by any hacker on this planet. I believe the music should explain itself well enough without my long words.

Thank you for your review bro. :)

I exist. That'd pretty much be it. Pictures made on Paint.NET (getpaint.net) and Apophysis 7X.
